Enough is enough. You yankees need to make some southern friends (or some friends period) and get life and stop making these immature south bashing threads.

Wow, a little touchy aren't we?

At least us "Yankees" dropped the stupid civil war era name calling and just call everyone who lives in the South "Americans," just like ourselves.

Before you get all self-righteous; My ancestors are from the South, I lived in the South, and can point you to several graveyards through Alabama, & Louisiana that are filled with relatives. I still have friends who live in TX, AL, NM, LA, GA, SC, FL, & AR.

I have lived in the south, and it's pretty much like a lot of the threads say and talk about. Not all, but most. And hey, southerners DON"T like "yankees" much either, right? That was pointed out to me time and time again in several places I have visited and had to live in down south.
I have had fun and enjoyed parts of the south, mostly when I was just passing through and they had me buying something and moving on out of their town. Ha,ha.
Oh, and I do have relatives and friends in the south.

No need to be so sensitive. This is the internet. People say what they want.

Also, are you not being immature too? Saying "yankees" need to make friends?

What we yanks need are more restaurants selling sweet tea. Heck, I'm south of the Mason-Dixon Line and the only place that has sweet tea is McDonald's!

Yeah, I know NM isn't "really" the South, just as most of TX isn't, but you get my drift.

not really. new mexico has practically nothing in common culturally with the south, and i doubt its residents would tell you that they live in the south. texas is the opposite.
