Hello,

I am considering taking a job in Charlotte. I currently live in Denver and love it here but am open to considering a move. Can anyone compare the two places? Which has better nightlife? Is Charlotte gay friendly? Is segregation a problem in Charlotte? I know that the cost of living is much less in Charlotte than in Denver. I've researched quite a bit of information on the Charlotte forum but was hoping that there might be some people who have experienced both places who may be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I'd much rather be in Denver...but that's me. Figure out what is making you happy with Denver and see if Charlotte offers the same.

DENVER DENVER DENVER!!

If you have a job there and are able to get by, please stay. Yes, it is as exciting as a subdivision and the summers are terrible.

I live just outside of Charlotte and have also visited Denver. Both cities are beautiful and have a lot to offer. There are many things to see and do in both places...I guess it depends on what you are looking for in a place to call home.

Have you visited Charlotte? Climate wise it is a lot different than the Denver area. I love to visit Denver, but could never handle the winters there. You may not like the heat and humidity of summer in the south. My suggestion would be to visit Charlotte and see if it is a good fit for you. Best of luck!
