I do ... I left to go to college, and stayed away for 27 years and was perfectly happy to remain so. I never would have come back, either, except that I kinda fell head over heels for some guy who lived in my home state.

NO, but I think about going back, although not to the same part. (Grew up mostly on Long Island NY and would never go back there, but would think about upstate . . . )

Born in SC, was raised in SC, FL, MD, VA and ME. Lived all over the world as an adult. Retired in OH. Born in SC due to father's Navy assignment. Moved fairly soon after I was born.

Post Never been more than 30 miles from where I was raised..

I was born in Saginaw, MI, raised in Mason, MI. The land I was raised on was once my great grandfather's farm, had been passed down several generations. The house that my father and grandmother were born in is only 1/2 mile from my childhood home (well, it was... was taken down and replaced this past year). I have always been within a 30 mile radius of the home town.

Husband, on the other hand, was born and raised in the Toledo area. He initially joined the service and was in NJ for training, then was discharged due to injury. Went back home for a matter of days, then headed out to Virgina Beach. Turned around, came to Flat Rock, MI, then meandered his way up to Lansing, MI.

We're now headed to Medina Co, OH - I'm excited to get out and about away from everything I'm familar with, but I'm also a little afraid that I won't see my grandmother much more after moving (just diagnosed with congestive heart failure), but I also know it is time for me to beat my own path.
