I was born in TX (while my father was in school there). Raised in West Michigan from age 5 - 27, then moved to the South East corner of the state for a teaching job. However, in August my wife and I will be relocating to Chicago due to Michigan's unfortunate (and dire) economic condition.
GREAT QUESTION!!
-TM
lol - you're in NJ too, and my situation is exactly the same, LOL (Hudson, Essex, Morris)
Yup.
I was Bergen (born til 18)
Essex (18 to 22)
and Burlington (for the past year)
Burlington is not totally my cup of tea as much as some of the other places...my parents are living here though...I really like where I was at on the border of Essex and Morris County for a bit. When I am ready to get my own place I am considering Parsiappany.
I was born on the prarie of South Dakota. Found hills in Western South Dakota and really loved them. Then realized there were bigger hills in Wyoming, so now I'm there.
I still live where I was raised (I wasn't born here) and my mom's side has been in this state for generations. How about you?
Yes. Born and raised in CA and have lived here my whole life with the exception of my 9 month stint in "Hell". I'm back in CA now and have no plans to ever leave.
In a roundabout way- ish?
Depending on how you define raised- I spent my childhood in AZ; but went to high school in TN, and then UG in the same city. Moved to other places after UG, for grad school and work, but now back in my hometown in TN where I went to high school and UG and where my family is. So if you consider raised high school, then yes. If you consider raised 1-14ish, no.
Nope. Military family here so we moved every three years or so like clockwork. I couldn't tell you where I was raised.
I've lived in Texas now for over 25 years, but I'm open to moving and probably will one day. My favorite state in the US is Virginia, closely followed by Texas, but I plan to move wherever my daughter and her husband settle in a couple of years.
Yes, I was born in Pennsylvania. Went to school in DC, and lived in that city and briefly in Maryland. But have been in Pennsylvania most of my life. The southeast part of Pennsylvania is one of the best kept secrets in the entire Mid Atlantic. So much charm and great historic character. It feels like a slice of New England with its own unique Pennsylvania take, with a more mild climate, and the same high quality of life.
