Gordon Biersch
Fire of Brazil

then..
Landry's
Pappadeaux
Texas de Brazil is incredible.

Another to add to the list. I forgot about it since we don't have them here.
Rosa's Tortilla Factory - a regional Texas place. Good and inexpensive Mexican fast food.

As much as I don't like chains and prefer mom and pop type places, there are a few exceptions--

Ruth Chris steakhouse
Chipotle
Five guys

...I recently ate at Carabba's, and it was amazing. This is coming from someone whose family is very italian, so I know what good italian home cooking is. This is the chain closest to what good italian food should be. Olive Garden doesn't come close.

I thought a "chain" was a restaurant with multiple locations. Grimaldi's has several locations in NY, NJ, TX, NV, and AZ...and coming soon to FL. Why isn't it a chain, praytell?

Maybe it's because NYC, of course, doesn't have chain restaurants...
