I think we should move the capital out to Honolulu, Hawaii. Keep all those evil law makers out of the mainland. Thus we'll be using the "containment policy" by keeping them away from the Mainland.

Lol, the containment policy was used to keep communism from spreading. But we can redefine it for those evil lobbyists in Washington.

That's not a nice thing to do to the residents of Honolulu. Don't you think they deserve better?

How about the island with the least amount of people in Hawaii. They can create a city there and stay there lol.

Then when politicians who run during elections say "I try to stay away from the lobbyists in Washington because of the corruption" can truly mean it.

That was why I suggested the North Shore of Alaska earlier. I still think that's a better choice than Hawaii. Why give them the excuse of a nice, tropical climate to avoid doing what they were elected to do?

I think it is fine where it is because so much history has been set there. It just wouldn't seen the same if the capitol moved to the center of America... and why does it have to be in some super overrated city? If the capitol is in a smaller city, it would be less attractive because larger cities draw attention towards themselves making it more tempting for attacks terrorists and non-terrorist.

Seriously, in this age of internet communication the Capital could be anywhere and it wouldn't make much of a difference. So leave it where it is--that is where all the institutions and monuments are already, do you really want to spend billions of dollars doing it all over again?

I'm thinking furthur into the future, so we don't have to relocate it once again: Mexico City, Monterrey/Mexico, Chihuahua/Mexico/Ciudad Juarez

As long as we're playing "Let's Pretend," here's another, even more radical suggestion...

Before the nation of Botswana became independent (when it was still the Bechuanaland Protectorate), its capital city was Mafeking--actually located outside the borders of the protectorate in South Africa. So why not put our national capital somewhere outside the United States? I vote for the island of Guam, since it happens to be a territory of the United States, and at least we couldn't be accused of invading a foreign country.

Maybe it should be in China, closer to our lost jobs, our creditors and future bosses.
