Vegas. I'm going for the first time on Sunday...kind of against my will.

It was 110 today. Why would anyone purposely do that to themselves?

I definitely can't say that I love these high temps (it's 106 now at almost 5pm), but people here put up with it because we have mild winters, and even though our summers are not ideal, they could be worse. At least it's a dry heat- and yeah, that does make a HUGE difference. After visiting NY during July/August and sweating more than I ever have in my life, I couldn't wait to get back to the desert. I had no idea I could sweat so much. I don't even sweat like that when I do a high intensity cardio workout. I can't even imagine how bad people have it in the South during the summer.

I would not recommend Vegas for someone seeking skyscrapers. One main street of huge resorts and another small downtown area also consisting of hotels does not equal an NYC type look.

Maybe Houston would work. It might not be the same weather as Phoenix, but it's similar in the sense that it has pretty hot summers and doesn't have harsh winters.

Closest thing is LA. LA has some skyscrapers in downtown and Century City area. The temperature is better than Phoenix's but yeahhh it's the closest thing I can think of.

Miami has heat and lots of tall buildings. Its not as hot and dry has PHX but its is for sure the BEST cross you will find IMO.

No such place exists. You won't find anything close to the combination you are asking for.
