I'm planning on moving to Atlanta in the next couple of months, I believe I will be working somewhere downtown, my field is legal. However, I need information on family friendly neighborhoods and any information on before or after school programs for autistic children. I'm looking for good schools and of course, a safe neighborhood.

depending on the severity, the Marcus Institute is ranked highly in regards to autism spectrum disorders.... i was fortunate enough to 'luck' into an aspergers/autism class in a high school for my son, which just happened to be our 'home school' and which helped with his diagnosis...i would check with various county BOE in the areas that you are interested in living in... i'm not sure if elementary and middle schools get that 'specialized' in their Special Needs classes...also check into SPECTRUM - i get flyers from the school for activities they offer...
