Default Medical jobs in Georgia?

I've been lurking on this site for a while now, tryna get a feel for what city would be good to live in as an individual in the medical profession. My wife is a nurse and I'm either thinking of doing the same or going to medical school. According to most of the threads that I've read so far, while there are several towns and cities with great hospitals, Augusta seems to be a great place for people in the medical field to live. What do you guys think?

Rome/Floyd County has a huge medical sector. Two hospitals, a state psychiatric hospital, and a large multi-specialty clinic (The Harbin Clinic). There are also two nursing schools that come to mind. Nursing jobs are not hard to come by. I know people who work at Floyd Medical Center and Redmond Regional Medical Center; both seem to be very nice employers. Redmond is an HCA hospital; click here for job postings. FMC's website can be found here.

Hope this helps.

Augusta is a great medical city. Its also home to the Medical College of Georgia. As far as hospitals go there are quite a few. MCG,2 VAs, University Health, Doctors,Eisenhower, Trinity and even Aiken Regional about 30 minutes away.

Floyd is the county; Rome is by far the largest city in the county (and the county seat.)
