Hi Everyone... so my company is relocating their offices to ATL (specifically Union City... I think) and the offer is on the table for me to move with them. I'm a single (latina) mom... my son is 8 years old. I've been researching several cities... looking for one that would be a good fit for us. I'm looking for an area that is reasonably affordable (I'll probably be looking to rent so I don't think I'll be able to afford more than $1,200/mo? ), kid-friendly/family-friendly and not a horrible commute from Union City. We are originally from Miami, FL. Any suggestions?? I need to give my company a decision soon.

Here's my list of cities for you to look at that are near Union City -

1) Peachtree City - great place to raise kids, very family oriented (Fayette County has is one of the top ranked school districts in the state .)

2) Tyrone -Just a neat town that has a lot to offer (Fayette County Schools again )

3 ) Senoia - super cool smaller town. Older town with a lot personality. One of my favorite places to spend an afternoon. ( This is in Coweta County school system)

4) Fayetteville -the largest of all the areas mentioned. Nice town , lots of things for kids to do ( little league etc) ( Fayette County Schools again )

Check them all out on Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed ( Peachtree City's zip is 30269, Fayetteville has 2 zips - 30215/30214 ) and you can find all kinds of stats on these cities there )

Thank you 'go falcons'. This helps me out a lot. I was actually looking at Peachtree City and Coweta County so it's good to know that I'm looking in the right direction.
