Need some good sound advice on relocating (rental, condo)

Ok GA People I am new at this so please take it easy on me. I tried this yesterday and I am hoping to get a better response today because I am giving more information. Here the situation....I am divorcing and need a change. I am moving from NJ with 3 kids, 14, 7 and 3, my BFF is coming with so that I am not alone and have some support.
1. Budget-I will definnately be one one but have some $$ stashed away
2. House/Condo/Townhome?-prefee rental home at first
3. Employment Status(commute/work from home)- I will be commuting once I find work
4. Children(public school vs. private)- public school depending on area
5. Suburban or Urban lifestyle preference or a mix of the two-little bit of both
6. Easy access to public transit, important or not?-not important
7. Preferable demographics of desired neighborhood.- I would like a mixed neighborhood

If anyone could give me some sound advice I would really appreciate it. I plan on moving down 7/2011. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

The First thing is to find a job, Then look for a place to live. There are a lot of places to live that fit your request. but you might spend 2-3+ hours a day getting to/from work.
