Rome, GA. Things to do???? (Kennesaw: hotel, to live in, cabins)

I'm stuck traveling to Rome, GA for the next few months on business. I live in St. Louis, MO where there are many things to do within a 15-20 minute drive. I can't even find a public pool near here (my hotel is nice but does not have a pool). Any ideas for things to do would be GREATLY appreciated. I used to live in Kennesaw, but it's not feasible to stay there during my business trips.
