You need to get your facts straight. The Macon airport you refer to is not in the city of Macon. It is south of Macon near Warner Robins. As a matter of fact, the Macon airport is only a few miles from Warner Robins. But to Macon the distance is twice as far.

That's true Blue Eagle, I'm right in the flight path for all two of the flights that come into the "airport" and I'm in Houston County. Heck I even see those troop planes too.

BTW Blue Eagle are you from Northside, GA?

My facts are right, the mail the airport recieves it says Macon, Ga, not Warner RObins, or south of Warner Robins, so if you have a problem with that I guess you should take it up with the federal government not me, there are many structures not within the city limit but the mail reads Macon, GA.

Middle Ga Regional airport is in Macon it in Bibb county and owned and operated by the city of Macon. Also for those of you who have funny comment about MACON's Airport read this.
Macon Approved Agreement with TBI to Manage airport, which also approved for Aviation Advantage to offer flights to DC and Another Carrier who will be offering more flights from Macon to Atlanta, Wings Air. The President of Wings Air, Robert Rupard said that tickets will be about $99 dollars for MAC to ATL on as many as 12 flights a day, Rupard said that he would like to operate along with a major carrier and that he has been talking to Air Tran Airways... Rupard’s company offer flights to Atlanta from Ashville, NC, Charleston,SC., Destin,FL., Knoxville,Tenn., Nashville,Tenn., and St. Simons Island in GA. Those flights $279 for one way but rupard said that the shorter hop form Macon to Atlanta will allow him to cut that price significantly.

As someone who lives near the base, I have never had any problems with the sound of planes, nor have I heard planes going over my house at 2 or 3 in the morning. I have no idea what you're talking about and I don't think you know either.

I understand that you ~really~ love Macon but that's no reason to keep on dissing Warner Robins.

Yes, I went to Northside in Warner Robins. But I am not a Macon basher.

I realize that the MayorOfMacon2019 has been provoked by some of the anti-Macon people on this board. But a lot of the comments made on this board by both sides of the Macon and Warner Robins feuders are often just flat out wrong.

I wouldn't say that the people who are responding are anti-Macon, I know I'm not. However MayorOfMacon2019 bashes other cities to make his own look better and he should expect to get some harsh replies, especially when his assessments of Warner Robins keep on falling flat.

There are always two ways to look at something, good or bad, and when I came on this site, alot of members were saying Macon is going down, crime is high, test scores are low, yea thats absolutely true, but thats just one way to look at, never once did I see anyone before I came on this site say Macon has many great structures, things to do, and it plays a vital role, which is absolutely true as well, and its another way to look at it.

On the other hand when they spoke of Warner Robins, they made it seem like heaven on earth, yes it is a good enviroment, its a great place to raise a child, but its not all pretty, no one spoke the bad of Warner Robins just like no one spoke the good of Macon.

The first day I saw the site my intentions were to sign up and promote the good of Macon, not to point out the bad of Warner Robins, which no one was doing. But I didnt focus on Warner Robins, I focused solely on fixing the all bad reputation that was sent about Macon, while doing this I ran into people who would come on my threads and just trash out Macon.

I noticed that I was the only one who lived in Macon, from this site, and that the views were always seen from outsiders not from people who live in Macon, and cared about the city, as much as I do, no matter how much people on this site disrespect Macon. I tried not to point out the bad of Warner RObins, but would always have someone speak bad about Macon, and no one besides me speak the good, so I finally got sick of it, and when the bad of Warner Robins came out, people didnt believe me because Warner Robins was already built up to be this Mega POwer, that was just beautiful, and just all good, but deep down these people who build up Warner Robins know that the city has problems just like every other city. Throughout this whole message I didnt express how bad Warner RObins is, but in about 10 years when it all comes to the light well see. Now there are people from Macon on here who feel just as good about the city as I do, and they know that with all the bad going on, there is ten times as much good.

If you are going to go on the Crusade for Macon, I suggest that you keep the fact straight about your own city and try to show both sides of the coin. If you can't deny high crime and low test scores, then don't try to paint over it by saying that the city is 'pretty'.

Keep in mind that when you say the views were always seen from outsiders that you are also describing yourself. Don't state 'facts' that you can't back up.
