Welcome to Ga I moved down from PA few years ago. School. there is alot of parents drop/off & Pickup at schools. So you can expect heavy Traffic with parents, teachers/staff, bus'es durring the 1hr before school starts & Ends. One thing about Atlanta you want to live as close as you can to your job. The traffic is bad. Clayon has had 'issues' with its schools. Home values took a nose dive in becaise it. The Bus system from Clayon shut down last spring, there is a vote on Nov ballot I think to start a TAX to fund it.

The AJC ( AJC.Com ) is the atlanta area newspaper do some searches thru it.

Welcome to Atlanta again. Its hard for anyone to say what will be good or bad for you when trying something different. Change is good and its all of what you make out of it and for everyone its a different experience. Clayton county has changed alot, for the Georgians that have been here the longest, they know that all too well. I'm not sure where you're looking to move but best of luck. True. The value has gone down on the housing due to the Pub school system and of course economy. So if you're buying get the best bargin, later down the line it may not be worth what you dish out for it (lot of good forclosure ops to look into as well). And as far as schools, not sure on pubic, (classrooms are large) a good small private school is Jackson Wesley Academy (K5-5th grd if you have any that age). Anyway best wishes to you!
