Default Getting out of Mid GA and heading north? Please advise

We are currently about 20 minutes south of Macon. I have been here my whole life. As I have gotten older, I have came to the conclusion, that this isn't for me anymore. I want mountains, creeks, rivers, lakes, outdoors.. My wife and I have a 3 year old and an 8 month old, we are in late twenties/early thirties. I am an IT guy with 10 years of experience, not looking to make more money, just want a job. I am really digging the Blue Ridge, Ellijay, Blairsville, Dahlonega areas. Home in the mountains, but not so far from town is a must. What are you guys thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks!
