Default suggestions for weekend trips in Georgia

I am planning various weekend getaways for the upcoming year. I was wondering what places in Georgia I should look at for such a trip. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?

Helen in northern GA has a Bavarian village. Winery. Shopping. Food. Definitely something not found everywhere!

Go to Helen on vacation, you go back home on PROBATION. If you drink, beware. Ask the locals. That's their mantra.

Helen sounds interesting, but I don't know if I like the town mantra.

As for Pine Mountain and Callaway Gardens, love the area, use to summer there in the 1970s and spent a week there in 2008. I recommend it highly.

Callaway Gardens is indeed beautiful. It is best when the azaleas are blooming, in the spring.
