I spent most of my summers in Glennville, GA as a child. Very fond memories!! My grandparents and extended family members still live there. Glennville is a small town with very kind and generous people. There are only two grocery stores, the IGA and Winn Dixie and a few shops like Fred's and the Dollar Store (which is so unorganized and messy that I'm shocked that people shop there!!) as well as some small quaint shops on Main Street. Not many restaurants. They do have a McDonalds and Dairy Queen. The Hen House has the best chicken in town! Good luck finding employment. In that part of rural Georgia, you tend to find work in factories...especially chicken factories. And we can't forget the onion farms and chicken farms that dot the rural lands around Tattnall County. The area is very green...lots of trees and fields. Truly beautiful. The schools leave alot to be desired. If you need entertainment, Hinesville (a HUGE military town) is only 20 minutes away and Statesboro (college town- Georgia Southern University) is about 50 minutes away. Also, Savannah is an hours drive...but don't go into Savannah if you don't have to. However, the better medical facilites are in Savannah.

My best childhood memories are set in Glennville. I go back about 3-4 times every year to see my grandparents. I live in Peachtree City...outside Atlanta.

Hope this helps!!
