The Piedmont area or Coastal Plain (Central to South Georgia) is where you will need to start. Sorry, but all of North Georgia real estate is going to force you to take longer to recover from bankruptcy.

Dublin, Milledgeville, Eatonton, Douglas, Americus, Waycross, Cordele, St. Mary's, etc. are the type towns to look for green pastures while you recover economically. Recreation in all of these places is always only 15 minutes away.
