My husband has been offered a job in Grayson. We currently live in a small town in Iowa, just south of Des Moines. We have four small children so we're looking for a small community east or north of Grayson with good schools. Any suggestions on some nice towns in that area? My husband doesn't want to commute more than 30 or 40 minutes each way. Also do most people send their children to the public schools or are private schools recommended? I would appreciate any suggestions!!! Thank you!

My niece and her husband live in Grayson. It seems like a very nice place. She is also a teacher in Gwinnett County and I believe the public schools there are highly rated.

My daughter moved from Grayson to Lilburn in December. You have to be careful of which schools you are targeting. Gwinnett county has good schools, but there are some you need to stay away from. South Gwinnett High School has had a reputation for gang activity. I would go toward the Grayson High school area.Just an opinion!
