Why do people assume thats its the ghetto. The city has more "good" parts than "bad parts." Example: Jefferson Park, Cherry Blossom Neighborhood, Windsor Forest Neighbor Hood, Colonial Hills and the list goes on. The actual "bad parts" are Washington Rd. and Cleveland Ave. I really wish I could post a video of my neighborhood on here to show you the "REAL" East Point. Not the one people assume it to be. In most of East Point many people walk their dog, go for jogs etc. Most neighborhoods have associations to keep people updated.

People say the same things about the Eastside of Macon where I'm from. There is one bad neighborhood called Fort Hill, but the majority of the neighborhoods are decent to nice.

Sadly, when some people see the demographics of a certain city or area made up of mainly blacks or hispanics, they automatically assume everywhere in the said city or part of town has to be "ghetto."

It never occurs to them that individual neighborhoods could make up totally different income and social brackets than others just because they're all the same color. It's much easier to just call them all "ghetto."
