We are considering a move and would love any input about the public schools in these counties. Are they giving a good education? The condition of the schools?
Or would we need to send them to private school to get a good education in these areas? We are from South Florida and our kids are currently going to an "A" school but if we stay here they will have to go to private school once they're in 6th grade. Any input is appreciated! |

From what I know of the two areas.. I think Rabun has a better reputation.

Rabun County schools are top notch. The high school is fairly new and has tremendous support from the local communities.. In addition to the public schools, there are some good faith based schools, and (I believe) some good private non-faith based schools. It is also home to Rabun Gap Nacoochee School - a nice boarding school.
Here is the Rabun County school website - the schools are pretty impressive. Welcome to Rabun County Schools |
