This guy just cant grasp that people realize and acknowledge that Columbus is the only other Georgia city besides Atlanta that can provide a true urban experience.

BRAC
Booming Suburbs
The Riverwalk
CSU growth

It all just speaks for itself. Have you been down Cusseta Rd. lately? And just wait until they expand I-185 down to Tallahassee.

Did Georgia cede Savannah to South Carolina or something?

And y'all stop being senseless boosters and realize that outside of a smallish core with a riverwalk, Augusta, Columbus, and Macon aren't particularly urban.

I've read this post and many others that make false accusations of trolling towards innocent people, and it just goes to show that you are 1. very immature 2. and very insecure. Get over yourself dude, I don't know why you and everyone else act like Columbus is this stupid hell hole of a city and act like multiple users cant have the same opinion and views about Columbus. You're just simply pathetic...

I have absolutely nothing against Columbus but to act like there's nothing strange or unusual about a couple of new posters all of a sudden rushing to this particular thread to extol the virtues of the city is pretty naive, IMO. People do that kind of stuff here on C-D all the time.

COLUMBUS!

Has a great number of public and private schools. It has that small town vibe in a midsized city. It has great shopping, dining, and a small airport. Columbus State University is a great college in Columbus (my brother goes there). (visit: colstate.edu)

You should really visit Columbus. While it's true Augusta and Macon arent so urban, this is not true of Columbus. Columbus is the 2nd most urban city in Georgia after Atlanta. Columbus has surpassed Savannah. No other Georgia city has the corporate base of Columbus and with the expansion of BRAC no other city has the growth. Columbus is really in a league of it's own here in 2011 compared to the other cities. You'd have to see it for yourself.

Sorry, but I need not have visited Columbus to know that you're quite delusional. There's absolutely no way that Columbus is more urban than Savannah. No matter what criteria you're using to define "urban," whether it's the traditional criteria which includes factors like walkability or a more contemporary definition that includes factors like skyline and retail, Columbus is not the second most urban city in Georgia.
