Human beings were not designed to be sitting in glass, metal, steel and rubber, driving 60 plus mph. These children and teens being driven to places by parents in cars is a form of child abuse. The natural way is walking, even if it's just walking to the bus stop a few blocks away or maybe even the subway, or just walking to the actual place. This place is designed like a safari, suburban safari, you go to the drive through at the restaurants or atm and you simply stick your hand out. These people travel many miles without their feet ever touching the ground. The garages now have remote controls, you simply press a button and it opens like magic. How spoiled and lazy is this?

I think it goes without saying that if folks want to fight, then GET A ROOM - but not a room HERE.

Stay on topic, and only the topic. Any further jabs, pokes, insults, or bickering and it'll be vacation time.

Unforunately, you'll be fairly limited. Midtown, Buckhead, and Sandy Springs and Dunwoody might suit your needs. Sandy Springs and Dunwoody however are large areas, so be sure to look near the MARTA rail line. There may be other areas near transit, but I don't have much experience other than passing through on the train, no ground-truth as it were.

I believe that Athens is probably the most biker friendly community in GA, referring just to the amount of dedicated bike lanes around. Someone earlier had mentioned that law about the distance between a car and the cyclist in a bike lane, and I think that it's albeit frustrating and slow when behind one, but it's not really a huge deal. I mean as long as the driver is paying attention (also the cyclist) then what issue is there, other than going slower. As far as adding sidewalks, I don't live in Atlanta, but in Athens there's a good amount of sidewalks around town, especially on most of the main thoroughfares.

I dont think it is a Atlanta thing they don't I haven't seen much bike paths, or sidewalks all through GA, SC, and NC. One would think as nice as it is here they would encourage it more then less. baffles me.
