If you want a bigger city feeling, then Willacoochee would of course not be recommended. But yes we are a quaint little town.

OK so here is my exact situation.... I am moving from nj to douglas ga because of work. I have no idea what it will be like in the area and if i will literally go crazy from the extreme change. I know that it is a slow paced area but i have heard that valdosta is only an hour away which has more of the fast paced life that I am used too.. If anyone could give me any idea what I am getting myself into I would be extremely greatful! I need to let my work know by Sunday... Thanks!

Douglas is 18 miles north of Willacoochee. Most people go to Douglas when they need something (So I think I can help you pretty good). If you are use to face paced life, then you may go crazy. Rush hour here in Douglas can be crazy at times. But if you can give me some specific questions you may have I may be a better help. Valdosta is our areas Metro area and is very well face paces and is approximately 1 hour from Douglas. I'm going to promote Willacoochee as a place you may like, but it is very layed back, but may be a great choice for you. Property taxes and all would be alot cheaper than here in Douglas/Coffee County. If your are moving to Douglas use GA 135 from Douglas to get to Willacoochee and continue on GA 135 from Willacoochee to Lakeland and then to Valdosta. GA 135 is a very busy road all the way from Douglas to Valdosta! Again.. give me some specific questions and I will do my best and answer them!
