It's Christmastime, but I have to run the dam air conditioner in my room today. This sucks. I want the weather to feel like Christmas -- daytime high temperatures somewhere between cool and mild, and nighttime low temperatures somewhere between chilly and freezing. When the weather is this warm, then it really doesn't feel like Christmas to me. I remember traveling to Orlando for a couple of days after Christmas in 2004, and when I was there, the only way I could tell that it was still Christmastime was the lights on some of the buildings. Breaking a sweat while playing mini-golf took me out of the mood that I wanted to be in. This year it's sort of the same way. Warm weather is nice, but not for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So if Mother Nature can hear me, all I want for Christmas is some cooler weather. Thanks!

Try being a transplant from Colorado (and being born/raised in Wyoming). This is SUMMER weather out in the Rockies.... I did a hike the other day in t-shirt and shorts and was wishing for cooler weather even then.

Still, I'll take this over any of the other weather I've experienced since arriving in May. I can actually go outside and do things without fear of passing out from heat. Still haven't needed anything more than a rain coat for warmth though.

Try living in Savannah ... where it's been 75-80 for a couple of weeks now. The bugs are back. Yesterady, everybody at the mall was in shorts and T-shirts. But I do kinda like how folks here decorate their boats and warp lights around the palm trees!

I love it. The alternative is what we had for years....cold and snow. I guess it's relative and all about your perspective. People in the south who have never lived with a "real winter" always pine for it, but when they get a taste of it, they freak out. For people who have lived with it, we are glad to not have to deal with it.

Give me 50s and 60s all day long this time of year. Merry Christmas to you.

If it was about 95, I would be happy. I hate cold weather. And yes, I have spent some time in cold climates, almost two winters in Korea.

Bah. You just feel that way because you're a weak east coaster. A little brisk weather never hurt anyone.

Of course, my visit to Minneapolis this past January showed me that winter isn't always a good thing. I didn't mind the -16 temp so much except for the fact that I borrowed a pair of crappy gloves from my dad.

Gnutella, you and me both! I realize that our Christmases probably aren't going to look like something out of a 1920s New England Christmas card, but geez, could we please at least have a chill in the air?

It is almost impossible for me to get into the Christmas spirit when it is 70 degrees. I was sweating while putting up the Christmas tree a few weeks ago. Out Christmas shopping today, I had to run my A/C. Not cool.

I realize that Christmas is not about the weather, and it shouldn't matter what the temp is, but it still makes it tough to get into the spirit because of all the media images of what an ideal Christmas should look like.

It seems like every year, we get into this rut where we have a chilly fall, then after Thanksgiving we have warm weather through Christmas, then Jan. and Feb. are the true winter months.

I've pretty much written this Christmas off as a total bust as far as the weather goes.

Love the weather. It would take more than the weather to kill my Christmas spirit lol.

Hey, I'm not expecting it to snow on Christmas, but apparently highs between 50 and 60 and lows between 30 and 40 are too much to ask for this December. When the high is near 70 and the low is no lower than 50, then it doesn't feel like Christmas to me. I can handle a day that's mild (not warm, but mild) as long as it gets chilly after the sun goes down.
