Default THinking about moving to Buford (Mall Of Ga Area)

Good evening,

I'm considering moving to an apartment complex near the Mall Of Georgia,

After viewing a few I've narrowed it down to two possibles,

The Reserve At Ivy Creek and Summer Park Apartments both are near the Mall Of Georgia and are close to retail which is a plus however I'm unsure of the crime rate and demographics of the area.

If there's anybody here who is familiar with either the apartment complexes or area please let me know.

I was informed that there are two 'courtesy officers' (their term) whom also works for GCPD that also live on the property.

Normally I would tour the whole complex during and after business hours however it is a gated community and was only able to see a few complexes.

All and all it looks decent but I was taught a long time ago just because the buildings look nice doesn't mean the area is...I don't want to be put in a situation that I will later regret.

So if anybody here can help please reply!

Thanks

The north precinct of the PD is literally a block away.
If the presence of police makes you feel safer, you're moving to the right location.

Great area.

I'll second that. Great area, other than bad traffic at certain times around the mall.

I'd agree with the above, good area, and a lot of benefits (close to transport and the mall and a lot of other amenities) nearby... Passed trough many times

Thanks for the replies Any thoughts about either of the following: The Reserve At Ivy Creek and Summer Park Apartments Demographics are the apartments safe at night I know one of them accepts section 8 and I've read about *some* of the clientele that Section 8 brings in (that may or may not be the case here I dunno).

So before I do anything or sign I want to get as much information as I can

Thanks again

You know, now's a pretty good time to rent a house.
For about the same thing, or not much more...
