How is the commute time during rush hour AM and PM from Newnan to Peachtree City. I am actually living on the Peachtree City side of I-85 right outside of Newnan city limits, close to Canongate. I would be starting on 34 then eventually stopping on 74 I guess around Books a million and Taco Mac.

I am going to be stationed at Ft.benning and am looking to move to Newnan because my fiance will have a job in southern atlanta and I dont want to live in La Grange which I hear is not exactly the best place. Does anyone know if there are military that live in Newnan and if so how is the commute and what else should one expect from living so far away from base?

Columbus is 50 minutes south of Newnan. Keep in mind Fort Benning is on the southern most end of Columbus. My guess the commute would be at least 75 minutes one way. It all depends on how much you like commuting that distance. LaGrange is a nice city. A lot of stuff is going on there just like Newnan. Living in LaGrange would shave off 25-30 minutes of your commute. I know people who live in Columbus and commute daily to Atlanta for work so I guess it can be done. Just keep in mind gas prices.
