Do you ride English or Western? Coweta County has lots of hunter/jumpers, also Western Pleasure, (and of course other disciplines) great 4H program. Newnan, which is in Coweta County, is about 25 minutes from McIntosh Reserve (real nice place to ride), also F.D.R. State Park is about 30 minutes other direction with lots of horse trails, and Douglasville is about 30 minutes in other direction where they are going to soon have horseriding trails. You're about 45 min-hour from Kennesaw Mt. (good place to ride) and 1 1/2 hour from N. Georgia Mts. and lots of places to ride up there plus camp-either in cabins or primitive camping. We have 10 acres of land with 6 year old 1900 sq. ft. Cape Cod, barn, fenced - taxes are just over $2000 per year. Medical field is big here - lots of doctors offices in various fields, good hospital, convenient to shopping, gorgeous historic homes and great downtown area combined with many new stores, and great restaurants. 30 minutes from airport.
Can be in place of peace and quiet (rural) and in 15 minutes eating at a great restaurant or shopping at a variety of stores. About 4 1/2-5 hours from the Gulf of Mexico if you ever want to get away to the beach for the weekend. I moved here in 1992 from Pennsylvania and don't think I'd ever leave!!
