Hamilton GA, who can tell us
We live in southern California, but are thinking about moving to the east. Looking at a Bed & Breakfast for sale in Hamilton, what can you tell us about that area or Georgia in general. Especially info about kids activities, ie: ice skating, swimming, special education services?

I think you are looking for Hamilton Mill. Its a planned community about 45 miles outside of Atlanta. [moderator CUT] The new developments in Hammilton Mill are great. Schools are good and the location of the community is very convienent. When you are ready to buy, make sure you get the new B&B inspected by a certified residential inspector.

Stay away from Hall county Schools. Parts of Braselton and Hamilton Mill are located in Gwinnett County and provide a much better learning experience. Be advised, Gwinnett County residents often inform the schools when non-Gwinnett residents attempt to have their children illegally attend their schools.

Hamilton Ga. is just south of Pine Mountain, Ga. on Hwy 27. It is a nice tourist area with nice attractions in the area. Warm Springs and FDR State park is very close. It attracts weekend travelers from Atlanta. The new KIA Plant is being built not far from Pine Mountain.

Dave and Sue Check this link. Stay at least 30 miles from Atlanta. Traffic is a terrible problem when you get any closer. North Georgia is a prime Bed and Breakfast area also. There is a resturant for sale in Hampton, Ga. It is a Old house that has been a very successful resturant in the past. It could be made into a bed and breakfast very easily. It is 30 miles south of Atlanta in Hwy 41-19. I'm not in real estate so I'm not trying to sell you anything.

I don't know why you would say to stay away from Hall County schools. My Grandsons go to North Hall and it is a very good school. If I were going to avoid a county it would be Gwinnett, along with Fulton, Dekalb and Clayton. Traffic and gangs are on the increase.

Hamilton is located just north of Columbus is Harris County. The schools there are great and taxes are low. You are close to Columbus (15 miles) and Atlanta (75 miles). Check out a new community called Sweetbay
