Default Where to Relocate in Georgia or Florida.....

My husband and I currently live in South Georgia in the trees. We are both professionals - I am webmaster of my own website. He is a Baptist minister with a doctorate in ministry, an author and former VP and Provost of a university in Texas. We are not originally from this area (I am originally from Augusta, lived in JAX, FL for six years and he is from Texas). A job brought us to this area in the beginning; however, we have become extremely unhappy with the cultural conditions here in Southern Georgia. We have made several attempts to bring events to this area, to do business in this area, to socialize with the people, help churches to grow and give away our CD's in honor of the military. However, the response we have received is next to nothing. Even though a lot of people are friendly, many are practically non-responsive and really stay to themselves. Trying to start a business or a ministry in this area is a major risk. I guess living in the trees places people in a different frame of mind. I said all of that to ask this.......

What would be a good location, but not an expensive location, to try and grow a car show business or book publishing business, become involved with good churches or possibly find employment with a university or ministry?
My husband has authored a book for a large Christian publication, has written for Christian magazines and hot rod magazines. We also have a 1930 Model A Ford Hot Rod and enjoy going to car shows. I write Christian poetry and promote our website which has current news, inspirational articles and poetry. We would prefer to stay in North Georgia, Florida or possibly look at Tennessee. We can even look at Texas if necessary.

We are not interested in putting a lot of money into a house nor are we looking for a big city with lots of traffic, but we would like a quiet and safe area in a community that has personality and opportunity. We want to be near bookstores, restaurants, decent grocery stores, concerts and car shows. We would also like to be close to a good hospital and good doctors as we will be moving my 77-year-old mother as well. We are looking at North Georgia, Central Florida and possibly Tennessee. Any suggestions?

Certainly North Georgia has wonderful small communities beginning with Forsyth County and up through Dahlonaga and Helen. Good luck. . .
