Exclamation Thinking of moving to Fannin county

Greetings all I'm thinking of moving to Fannin county next year and wanting to make sure its the right move. My biggest concern is schooling I have 3 children ages 12,10,8 so of course their education is my number one priority. Second is cost of living I am a single mom although I live in Grovetown GA and the schools are good here but I will be much happier in the mountains where there are more things to do and I can see the seasons turn. I want to make sure I can afford to move up that way. I have visited once to Mineral Bluff and I loved it! But I would like to get first hand advice for the local folks that live there all year round. Any information, advice, websites on local living and rentals in the area would be most helpful, any information to be honest would be helpful. Thanks and have a fantastic day

My suggestion is to check out the local newspaper for Fannin county ,which I believe is called "The Observer".I would suggest having a subscription sent to you .You will find there normally will be more classified adds for rentals, jobs etc in the print papers than online.
I am in a neighboring county, so I cannot provide you with all the information you want on schools for Fannin County. .
I can tell you that is a great area of the state to relocate to if you are looking for things to do.My family is not bored up here and there are great places to explore all over the place.

I love the area. Fannin built a new middle school a handful of years ago, if that's indicative of anything.

That's good to know I plan on visiting in Feb when the weather becomes better to check out the area. I'd like to move up there in May after my kids get out of school.
