Default North Georgia Halloween Fun

Any suggestions for Halloween activities in N. GA? I've heard there is a haunted gold mine in Dahlonega--has anyone been to it, and is it worthwhile?

We would love to find something unusual (as long as it's not put on by an evangelical church group--I'm really tired of getting slapped with a heavy "message" at a haunted house that turns out to be a haunted abortion clinic, etc.)

I guess if you are a kid (or one at heart) the mine might be interesting.
Truth is, not much attention is paid to Halloween here. In 20 years, exactly 0 kids have come to my door. I must admit that I do not let that deter me from stocking up on chocolate candy, however.

Netherland in Norcross is supposed to be the #1 haunted house in America. Not kid friendly though

At Rock City they have the Forest of Fear. Forest of Fear presented by Rock City

And, of course, there are many pumpkin farms in N.GA. I like Burt's.
