I can tell you a bit about South GA--friends in Valdosta and Waycross is close to the FL state line.

Wish I could offer more specific FYI--I hated the Heat and Humidity of South GA and those dang little bugs. Stock up on Skin So Soft--that is my advice.
If you want to come to NE Atlanta I can tell you more than you want to know about that. LOL
South Georgians don't generally 'want' to come to Atlanta. 'Ain't No Flies on Them'. IYKWIM.
Maybe someone can offer some better ideas.
