Default Input on Randall County Needed

I am thinking of making the move to Cuthbert. I have only been there once, and know it's a very small town. I would be moving from the fort. lauderdale, fl area. I am looking for a rural residence where I can keep dogs. I am disabled and have a fixed income. Any input will be greatly appreciated

I was born in Randolph County, but have always lived in the neighboring Town of Dawson. It has basically the same demographics, but is closer to a large City. Cuthbert has a very good hospital , but is still a rural hospital. Don't know your needs, but if serious contact a realtor inThe Dawswon area to see options. There are some nice country homes avialable some even for rent, to have someone present for security reasons. Good luck

I am a 5th generation Manatee County Florida native that made the mistake of moving to the Cuthbert area. Trust me, if you want to live here do two things: never tell any of these Florida haters where you're from, and learn to mimic their heavy drawl. They will take your money smiling all the while and tell you how much they hate Floridians for invading in the next breath.

Prepare for VERY narrow-minded thinking and downright backward behavior. Very few of these people have good education, and I'll verify it shows. You won't get a job easily either. You have to know someone that knows someone. They prefer to keep it in the family, and they will take a lesser qualified individual over one with expert training and education.

If my husband weren't rooted here (he's native) I'd be gone with the freakin wind! It took him 30 years to talk me into this move, and now I know I should have stuck to my instincts.

Miserable in Cuthbert BFE
