Places to rent in Blue Ridge?
I will be relocating to Blue Ridge in a few months and am having no luck in securing a nice, affordable place.
Would anyone have any suggestions on where to look, or where to steer clear of. I am from the south, but not Georgia. I hope the hospitality is universal.
Apartments, houses, whatever. I just need a place to call home.
I've checked numerous sites and have gotten nowhere, it almost seems hopeless.
Is Blue Ridge expensive to rent? Is it cheaper to live outside the city?
Thanks for any help!

Theres no many affordable places in Blue Ridge anymore. So many second home buyers came up from Florida and brought the property value through the roof. Many of the locals and natives are actually losing their homes so you might get lucky of their misfortune. It is cheaper outside the city but remember there are no restrictions and it is still country. Blue Ridge used to be a great place but they all came up and cut every tree down they can and cry for change. Hospitality youll definetly get from real estate agents. Theres definetly some resentment towards certain folks from a certain state. But good luck and I guess I wish you all the best.

Folks... a reminder
You can't advertise realty here (rental or sale), even by saying "I have properties, direct mail me". You can send a person a direct mail of such a nature if you're replying to a request they have, but please do not post that you have properties here as it's considered advertising.
Also please do not post personal email addresses in your posts. Use the direct mail feature.
Thank you

Double Ditto - Floridians are called half-backs nowadays. They went to Florida to retire - got tired of being chased out by 'canes and tornadoes and floods. So they found places half-way-back to their northeast homes. Most settled in Blue Ridge, Hiawassee, Clayton and North Carolina and Tennessee. This drove up the price of everything. Try to find a rental is difficult at best. All you can do is call the real estate companies one at a time and hope for something reasonable.

If it wasnt for all the visitors from Florida all your businesses would be closed. This town is still running because of those visitors. The employment here is crazy and when you do find a job you only get min wage. Do you think this town would function without your visitors I think not. And the fact that floridians came and bought property its not their fault its your greedy local real estate agents that seem to be on every corner in Blue Ridge.

Hey a under cover real estate agent chimed in. Funny stuff thanks for the laugh. The Floridiots or Floridians havent brought any real jobs into Fannin County. Their infestation has actually helped keep any real jobs coming into Blue Ridge. You say all of Blue Ridge Businesses would be closed if those Floridians stopped coming there? Well a lot of folks in Fannin would love to take that bet. Make it happen and let's roll the dice. The exterminators would be thriving though because theres a awful lot of those pests to get rid of.
