Default Is this a place to live

I have recently moved to Americus GA for work reasons, this is one of the strangest places to live, I am surrounded by people who either do not have a clue or never had a clue. I came from an urban city and this is as country as can be, the job is ok and money is alright but is this a place to set roots, I am not happy with the schools system and overall I have given it a five year plan I don't want to keep relocating but there has got to be a better place to live other than MAYBURY

Are there posple out there who have lived here, relocated here, or just been here, what are the thoughts and what are some of your feelings on this town

Question: Where did you move from?

Secondly, it is ultimately about what type of lifestyle you want. If you're not happy living in a modest-sized town in the middle of rural southwest Georgia, then I'd recommend you move. However, if you like your neighbors, job, etc., but dislike the pace of life/setting, I'd recommend to perhaps give it a year or so. Ultimately, it's up to you. Small towns can be rewarding in some aspects.

I can't understand this post. If you had asked here, or asked your employer, I'm pretty sure no one would have told you to expect big-city 'conveniences' in Americus.

I'd suggest you try to research some other areas, and when you find the right one, quit your job and move.

At least, that's what I would do. Don't expect Americus to change for you.
