Just about anywhere in Rabun County, North Georgia. Be forewarned, they have had a substantial run-up in prices on homes in the last two to three years. So, you will find many Atlanta locals and even Clayton / Dillard locals who will think prices are too high.
However, Rabun County is experiencing high quality growth. It is inundated with some very wealthy areas, like Lake Burton, Lake Rabun and some other areas bordering forest land. When I buy real estate, I look for areas that are experiencing "good" growth. I define "good" growth where wealthy people are flocking to an area to live, even if seasonal. With virtually no crime, strong tourism, upper middle class families, and very wealthy retirees, it has all of the elements I require to consider it a place to invest in on a 5 year hold basis. I like the Blue Ridge area as well, but not as much as I like Rabun County. |
