Cleaveland is a nice town, very conservative, but not much unlike many of the small towns going up into North Georgia. It's in White County, which, last I checked, which was some time ago, it was a dry county. No Booze, but I don't know if this is enforced as to what you have in your own home. This is a very family oriented town.

Helen is sort of an odd touristy "German" village. It also is a nice little town, and the surrounding countryside is in the foothills of the Blueridge mountains. It's been a while since I've been to Helen, both Helen and Cleveland have likely changed some.

TINKERBELL is on a distinguished road
I just got back from visiting the Cleveland/Helen area and fell in love with it. My brother & his family live there and it was just beautiful. We have our house for sale in Florida and are now seriously talking of moving to this area ourselves. My hubby was born in Georgia, and my kids have been up there to spend the summers and love it.

Prichard is right about Helen, it is more touristy than anything - its really a neat little town to visit. You can live in the country in Cleveland but still have the city ammenities close by. We visited the Imax in Buford along with a huge mall, and Gainesville is also close by with all the big stores & restaurants.

If your looking for school info I found a great website" www.greatschools.net to check out. Hope this info helps.
