I'd start with looking into the schools... and see how they stack up against other schools in the immediate area.

Is it in Gwinnett or Walton? visit that county's public school websites and find what schools or districted there.

I know Gwinnett Co. has annual school "report cards" telling all sorts of information about the students, scores, etc...

It makes it pretty easy to compare the various schools within a small area.

no, you can't.

There are some circumstances where it is allowed, but they are exceptions and not the rule.

South Gwinnett isn't all that bad, but it is certainly no Grayson. S. Gwinnett has slipped a bit in recent years, while Grayson is known for being a nicer, newer area.

S. Gwinnett: South Gwinnett High School

Other schools in Gwinnett: Schools

Be sure to check and compare accountability reports.

You can click the link to the "cluster maps" to see where the house your looking at is districted for elementary and middle schools.

Actually if your in Loganville and going to S. Gwinnett, you would be in an area that is just now coming back and is pretty good shape. I like the neighborhoods there, but the high school is not as good as Grayson HS. Grayson is ranked in the top ten schools in the country.
Gwinnett Park System with their athletic programs are a model for the nation.
If you want Loganville and the better schools stay up near Ga Hwy 20 and that area. Good luck with your decision.
