Dahlonega GA, singles (non-college student) scene?? (Gainesville, Dawson: school, military, stores)

i'm a 31 year old, liberally-minded, college-educated single female looking to relocate to Dahlonega for a job. I'm attracted to the beauty and nature of the area and the small-town charm but I am wondering what the area is like for singles such as myself. thoughts, anyone?

Wish I could help you out balletgirl. Don't no much about the single scene. But I can tell you that Dahlonega is a beautiful place. It kinda reminds me of an old town that has been modernized. Lots of stores to walk around in, gold mines to visit, you can even try your luck at panning. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!!

Dahlonega is a military school, an Army Ranger stop along the way, and really pretty scenery. Not much nightlife there - hope you are ok with the scenery being adequate. You aren't that far from growing Dawsonville or Gainesville.
