Talking Starting Over

I feel my family needs a change of scenery from our current city and I have been thinking of moving to Lawrenceville Georgia. I am wondering if this is a good place to raise kids, and if the city has good employment opportunities.

I really would appreciate the information, and thanks

After living in Lawrenceville for 7 years, we moved out of Gwinnett county. The growth there is phenominal. There are too many trailers at schools, even though they are building new schools, they can't build them fast enough. We moved to walton county. It is the next county east of Gwinnett. It's more rural and the schools are great. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Atlanta from here and it's an easy commute. Traffic can be tough at times, but the benefits of this lifestyle far outweigh the downside of traffic. My husband drives in it daily. We love living here...originally from Ct. I hope this helps.

Are you thinking of new homes or resales? Like I said, we are in Walton county, you can get alot of house for your money here. I targeted Loganville high school when we were house hunting. The school is great, my son loves it there. People here are very friendly. The area has built up somewhat and continues to do so.You can check www.Georgia.gov and check into schools in whatever area you are interested in. You will get the specifics as to class size and what programs are offered. Hope this helps you. Good luck!
