Job in Smyrna, Where to live?? (Atlanta, Vinings: real estate, to rent, broker)

My husband and I are relocating from Ohio to the Atlanta area in early 08'. We're 30'ish with no children. His new job will be located in Smyrna but he'll have to attend meetings/events in the downtown area once or twice a week. He'll also be traveling out of Hartsfield-Jackson airport about 2-4 times a month. I, on the other hand, have not found a job yet.

Any advice or suggestions on neighborhoods would be appreciated. We are looking to rent a newer home in a nice subdivision. And of course, want to avoid a super long commute.

How about... well... Smyrna?

Smyrna isn't that far from downtown overall, and getting to the airport isn't that hard. You won't have access to Atlanta's rail system (MARTA) in Cobb County, but Smyrna is one of the closer-in burbs.

You gave no budget at all. So here, that could mean $150,000 to $2.5 million or more (?). Vinings is next to Smyrna but just South of it, and a little closer to Atlanta. Some parts are higher-end, and many people like living there due to location + there's a Chattahoochee River park in that area with hiking, etc.
