Considering relocating to such a state as Georgia. I have only really spent time in Savannah and a little time in the areas surrounding historic downtown so far. I really liked it. Wondering about areas outside of Atlanta as well. I would love to be either close to the mountains or closer to the ocean. I have an issue with seasonal affective disorder, so not too cloudy too much of the time is a priority.

I am a relatively young, educated 47 year old with no kids. Job is not an immediate issue but will be in the future. After a few disabilities I am working on healing the best I can, I am hoping to get back to full-time employment in the next year or so. I may even consider going back to college to brush up on old skills or take on a new career path. I enjoy volunteering with dogs and people in need.

I am a creative person and a video projection artist. It is important to me to be around creative people and environments. Hopefully there are interesting single people around my age in certain areas who are nature lovers too. I like to make friends of all ages, too.

Looking for a rental situation in the $800 or less range with a dog (JRT breed.) I like smaller, safe downtown type areas or areas that are not too far from a major city. Will be taking a big drive in May to scout a new place. I am in limbo right now but have mostly lived in Denver, CO for the past decade.

Thank you!

As has been mentioned in the Savannah forum, I think it would be a terrific fit for you. You sound like perfect SCAD material!

Thank you! I think I am really going to give it another visit. I loved the art college area. I had a vision when I was there, that if I went to such a school, I might be able to teach there or elsewhere at some point with a masters degree already. Just need more skills and experience for a while.
