Hi,

I apologize if this has been asked recently.

I'm currently living in the southwest and looking to move back to the southeast to be closer to my family. Georgia is one area I'm considering and, obviously, the job market is top of my priority list since I'll need to get a job quickly.

My experience is basically admin/clerical work so nothing too fancy or special. Does anyone have any advice/insight into what the job market is like in Georgia and which area would be best to consider?

Thanks.

The job market in Georgia (Metro Atlanta) is recovering, meaning that the job market is slowly-improving after a prolonged period of near-depression and struggle between late 2007 and the present-day.

If you do decide to move to Georgia, make sure that you have at least one high-paying job before moving out here to an area that is still slowly but steadily making its way back from one of the worst economic downturns since the Great Depression...an economic downturn in which Georgia was hit particularly hard.

I do have a high paying job now (I was lucky to land something good as "just" a receptionist) but I'm not sure how much of a bankroll I'll have when I move. How long should I expect (rough estimate) to job hunt if I moved to Georgia?
