What a great thread. I enjoyed reading it. I am not Haitian I will say that so many people recommend North Georgia. South Georgia is Georgia's best kept secret. Stockbridge, McDonough, Hampton, Locust Grove areas are great too.

There is a great Haitian church Located In Dallas, Ga 30132 and it is called Eglise Evanglique Mont-des-Oliviers. You can visit the website at Home and decide for yourself..However, I highly reccomand them because they are 100% bible driven and they teach it like it should be tought.

I moved around a lot due to my husband's job. We decided to move to Georgia last year because we hear it was the black Mecca. I found that it was not the true for Gwinnett where I live. They really hate minority with an education. They make impossible for you to get in the school system. I am certified school teacher and I've yet to find a good job. They tell me a bunch of stories and turn around give the job a white person who is not qualified. I am ready to move back to FLorida . The discrimiation here is outrageous for black teachers and especially if you are an immigrant. I ma Haitian American Anyone lese is experiencing this with the school system in Giwnnett??????

Fambroise, I am not sure if you have moved back to Florida. My experience here has been tough also. I moved here from New York and settled in Henry county. I am fully certified with a masters degree, actually I started out by taking a "Georgia Prek" job and then worked there for a year until I could actually find something in a charter school in Clayton County. I think it helps if you apply in more than one district and befriend the principal, a little flattery goes a long way. Anyway best of luck.
