Default Considering moving to Ga from Fl

I have lived in florida most of my life. But now because of the property taxes, homeowners insurance and other costs it is just getting too expensive to live here.I live southwest of Ocala.I am a painting contractor and my business is driven by a good healthy real estate and new construction sales market and as most people know both markets have all but died here.I have been in my own business for 30 years and i intend to continue painting up until retirement age.My wife is in the accounting field (not an accountant) but does billing & receiving and other clerical work. She will also be looking for work in the Valdosta area, can anyone who has lived in Valdosta for any length of time offer any suggestions? For example how is the realestate and new construction market there and are there good paying jobs availble for someone in the line of work that my wife does? Any help would be very much appreciated.thank you

Valdosta is a nice area. There is a lot of new construction both residential and commercial. The growth in the area has been steady for the past 3-4 years and new businesses continue to come to our town.

Your wife is in a line of work that should be fairly easy to locate a job. Many businesses have an on staff accounting/billing clerk. She could begin her search by going to the ads posted in the Valdosta Daily Times. It is available online. Also, we have several temporary job companies that can be converted into full time, permanent positions. You may check with some of them.

Email me with more specific questions that you may need answered.

Default towns

towns near Valdosta that would be convenient would be Adel and Quitman. Both would be very affordable for cost-of-living, including home ownership. Also, both would be within a 30-minute commute or less.
