Macon! The new Atlanta suburb (Columbus, Warner Robins: jobs, medical, house)

I know how y'all feel about the suburb thing, we are 80 miles north of Orlando on I75, and out of town folks on the TV talk about us like we are in the outer ring or something......with the way its going though, with all the people from up north moving down here, we may be annexed in about 20 years!

silver springs to be exact, but nobody knows where that is, its kind of a suburb of Ocala, if there were such a thing.been here 18 years.

lol, yea its crazy its like they should rename Georgia to Atlanta. Before Oprah came alot of people who I met from traveling would ask where im from and I tell them Georgia, and they alutomatically assume Atlanta, I said no then they said Savannah, as if those were the only two cities. Now ill be at an airport and people ask, and they say Macon, I ask how they know and Oprah comes out there mouth. Its ok im not complaining I understand that Atlanta is half Georgia's population, our state government treats the rst of the state like second class. Outside of Atlanta and Perry, Perdue doesnt go anywhere else.

Also, keep in mind a large section of Georgia`s government will be moving to Forsyth...and just wait until you see what he is doing with over 1000 acres near the Ag Center in Perry.

I think that Georgia is starting to become a metropolis with so much development along I-75. The farthest south I think that is part of the ATL Metro area is Henry Country which is 2 counties above Macon. However, as Atlanta continues to move south, Macon will eventually be touching ATL.
