What will bring you to Duluth? Duluth is in Gwinnett county. The school system is good. I lived in Gwinnett for 7 years, after moving from Conn. My youngest son attended Bethesda elem. and Sweetwater Middle. We didn't have any problems with the schools, however, Gwinnett has and continues to grow at a rapid pace.We moved to Walton County, 3 years ago. I am very pleased with the schools here. My son is now a sophomore in high school.By the way, Walton county borders Gwinnett. Not too far to drive anywhere. I hope this helps.

With that price range, you'll likely be settling on the Gwinnett side of Duluth. The elementary schools in the area include Chesney, B.B. Harris, Berkeley Lake, and Chattahoochee, which all feed into Duluth Middle and into Duluth High. Another section of Duluth feeds into Peachtree Ridge High. The Fulton side of Duluth feeds into Northview High. Hope that helps.

Default Duluth

I've lived in Duluth and have gone to Duluth High School. I liked the school. My husband has gone to BB Harris Elem, Duluth Middle and Duluth High - he liked them all except for BB Harris. Our daughter went there in 4th grade and didn't like it either. It's a small, older school - a lot different than the other modern schools in the system! We now live in Lawrenceville (daughter in Berkmar High, son in Benefield Elem) We're not too sure about these schools yet - a lot of diversity! My daughters best friend goes to Peachtree Ridge High in Duluth. She loves it! It's a fairly brand-new school (2-3 years old). I have heard that the Duluth zip code 30096 is comparable to Beverly Hills 90210. This is the Peachtree Ridge school system. There are numerous "country club" subdivisions in this area. With your price range - you'd probably be best to contact a good realtor in the area. I know the "townhouse boom" is going on - seems like everywhere you go they are building them. 2BR 2BA townhomes with garages are going for $170K and up. You'll probably have to settle for an older home (which is what I'm in and love it!). Cardinal Lake Estates subdivision in Duluth is where we used to live and it's a great place and area!

Hope this helps!

I dont know much about Gwinnett, but I do know that it isnt far from the A and it is big. A lot of people are getting building permits. It is near Fulton. I know the best High School that i know about by far is Northview, it is in Duluth and it feeds into the Fulton side. If you live far from there, it is probably worth it. It was rated a top high school in Newsweek Magazine and it has gotten the Governor's Cup for something. It is excellent, sorry I dont know of any on the Gwinnett side except for Duluth and I dont know much about Duluth High

Gwinnett schools over a great variety of activities, but that is because they are so large, average enrolment is 3000+ in the high schools. Fulton schools also have a lot to offer, but the trade off is higher taxes. The "Duluth" area straddles both counties so that is something for you to consider. I'm a real estate agent and don't mind answering questions if you have follow-ups. Not a bid for your business, but available if needed.
