Do yourself a favor and move somewhere else. High AIDS and other STD's, no activities for kids, afterschool programs, etc..., bad child care facilities and you are 36 miles to Valdosta. Not to mention the drug problems, drug dealers galore, and the lack of support for the law enforcement from the city concil and county commissioners. If you want a small town near Valdosta with a better outlook and family qualities to raise children look at Hahira. Look at sites such as
Family Connection Partnership and pull up the Kids County done by the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the OASIS system site for some statistics. Think it over before you really consider Homerville.
