Need advice regarding move from Pittsburgh to Lithonia
My wife is a real estate agent and I have a degree in Hospital Administration. I would like to know about the job prospects, crime, commute ect. Could anyone help me out? Or should I just stay in the "Burgh"?

Why Lithonia? There are dozens of Atlanta suburbs with better schools, lower crime, etc., so why are you focusing there?

Bob, I am from a small town south of the "BURGH", I worked in STEEL MILL back in 70's and early 80's. BEST thing I did was MOVE !!! I moved to Florida though and am looking to relocate in near future to Georgia. It appears you two are professionals and will land on your feet no matter where you go. You did not state your ages, kids etc. I am 52, wife is 53. Don't count out florida yet, homes are in a buyers market right now. I plan on moving when I retire in a few years and refuse to go back to cold weather. Been here since 1985 !!! Up north will always be home but here is where I made a future for myself and family. Good luck.

I have lived in Lithonia. The houses are very inexpensive, but I think this is the only plus. The crime is growing, the schools are mostly poor. There are only sidewalks on some streets and there is very little to do in the way of entertainment.

Man I love the "burgh" the city is so great the "Northern Hospitality" (if there is a such thing) is through the roof. The Pittsburgh Steelers are just the greatest in the world, the bridges are yellow, buildings are yellow and black its just great.
